The central promenade of Marina Ibiza is once again the focus of everyone’s gaze, with the arrival of Fendi and Bottega Veneta. These prestigious brands have chosen one of the most exclusive harbours in the Mediterranean, Marina Ibiza, joining the other international luxury firms such as Bulgari, Dolce&Gabbana, Dior, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Loewe and Saint Laurent, that already have a store in the marina.
Fendi announces the opening of its new temporary store located in the Marina area in Ibiza, the renowned Balearic Island in Spain.
The 60 square metres pop up store is characterized by holiday vibes and bright colours, where the Women’s and Men’s Astrology Summer Capsule 2023 will be showcased in a unique atmosphere. The white façade features big and airy windows, creating a dialogue between indoor and outdoor spaces. Upon entering guests are welcomed by stripes in different sizes and colours, a typical summer pattern emblazoned on the floor with beige nuances and on walls and curtains in red and white hues. Iconic Fendi codes are reinterpreted through resort vibes and represent the inspiration that makes the temporary store unique. All over the space, natural materials are strongly present; in particular, wood is declined in various shades and different types to evoke the unique Fendi Pequin stripe. Declined in slightly lighter tones than the classic tobacco one thanks to the use of birch and cherry wood, the pattern characterizes the main central column and the free-standing elements as well as the shelves.
For Summer 2023, Fendi introduces the Astrology capsule: a swim and beachwear collection created for every star sign under the sun. Drawing on iconic collections from the House’s archives, Spring/Summer 1990 and Spring/Summer 1993, alongside key codes established by Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear Kim Jones, this is a reflection of Fendi’s past and present, curated for the summer ahead.
Bottega Veneta, located in the marina’s central plaza, has astounded everyone with the elegance and delicacy of its space carved in wood, where every article becomes the protagonist of the space where it is displayed.
This, the firm’s sixth shop to open in Spain, presents the brand’s resort collection, packed with accessories for an eternal summer. The boutique was designed based on a re-usable, timeless concept, like a puzzle with individual leaves that interlock to form walls, floors and tables. Just like the brand’s bags, which are often made with no seams, these interlocking parts require no nails or screws. The puzzle can be assembled, taken apart and packed up for shipment anywhere in the world.
The rest of the firms that were previously established in Marina Ibiza, and which have already welcomed these two new names, have opened up their doors, generating great expectation with both their new resort collections and their revamped image. This is the case of Dior, who have installed a sand jungle at the entrance to their boutique – lions, giraffes and monkeys welcome customers of the marina upon arrival – or Gucci and Vuitton, who have installed a pleasant terrace area outside their establishments.
The capsule collections and editions designed especially for Ibiza have become a must which customers seek out every season. This year, Dolce&Gabbana sought to create an ode to the Italian artisans and artists who meticulously handcraft majolica, with intense fuchsia-coloured patterns on a striking, snow-white base, in their Ibiza store.
On this occasion, the fine jewellery brand Bvlgari commemorates one of its greatest skills and the unique talent of the brand, in relation to the use and exaltation of colour, which encompasses the exuberant Italian arte da vivere, playing with the infinite possibilities offered by gemstones.
Gucci presents the Gucci Summer Stories collection, which captures the summer spirit of exploration and holiday breaks and evokes the collective joy that accompanies the long days and warm nights of the season. The collection presents icons of the Casa, like the GG Marmont, the Jackie 1961 and the Horsebit 1955 in woven raffia with leather details, an entire combination of textures, ideal for a weekend getaway, or a longer vacation.
Louis Vuitton welcomes the summer sea breeze at its pop-up store in Ibiza, an exclusive space dedicated to the summer capsule collection By the Pool, inspired by the soft tones of the island’s sunset and the blues of the sea that bathes its beaches and cliffs.
Radical fluidity defines Saint Laurent’s collection this season, expressed through silk jersey knits. Casually elegant dresses that go down to the ground, balanced by men’s garments, the epitome of Saint Laurent by Vaccarello.
And Loewe is back with Paula’s Ibiza, an annual collection created on the island evolved from the iconic boutique in the old town. This summer, relaxed prêt-a-porter, bags and accessories embody a bohemian versatility, with fabrics, plaits and natural textures that highlight the firm’s artisanal feel.
Yet another year, Marina Ibiza is flooded with the most exquisite luxury, capturing the attention of the most devoted fashionistas in search of mythical, exclusive capsule collections in Ibiza. A paradise indeed for fashion and haute couture, and one that has turned Marina Ibiza into a floating catwalk of style.
