Dolce & Gabbana wowed more than two hundred guests at a truly unique event held at Filin, the terrace located in the central plaza of Marina Ibiza. The evening, which drew the month of July to a spectacular close, saw vogue artists perform a live dance-off while showcasing the label’s latest range and capturing the full attention of the entire crowd.
The central plaza of Marina Ibiza and the terrace of Filin turned into a catwalk for a day, exclusively customised for an extraordinary show that featured the zebra print that this summer is taking Ibiza by storm.
When everything seemed to set for a standard runway walk by the Italian label, La B. Fujiko, legendary mother of the Iconic House of Ninja and artistic director of the show, took everyone by surprise with this unexpected voguing show. A demanding panel of judges, the rapper Typhoon as a presenter and the ballroom DJ Lili Jean spiced up the contest in which there were only two prerequisites: to be dressed in Dolce & Gabbana and to strike the most extravagant and artistic pose possible.
Internationally renowned voguing artists soon took to the stage to strike their best poses, resulting in the winners being proclaimed for this global dance phenomenon and captivating the guests from start to finish.
Meanwhile, Filin customised the venue and laid on a menu of meticulously chosen cocktails and a dinner that included typically Italian dishes such as exquisite pasta creations, aubergines and arancini.
The Dolce & Gabbana evening was one of the most fascinating events in Ibiza so far this summer, thanks to its impressive staging, awe-inspiring performances and groundbreaking concept. Without a shadow of doubt, this was a show that the guests will remember for a long time. And, of course, proof that the Italian fashion house has truly made its mark on Ibiza.
