Marina Ibiza celebrates San Ciriaco with traditions, parties and privileged views

The festival of San Ciriaco marks the peak of the Ibizan summer.

History, culture and fireworks: Ibiza will be honouring its patron saint from Marina Ibiza, right opposite Dalt Vila.

The island of Ibiza is currently in the swing of the Festes de la Terra festivities and preparing for the arrival of Ibiza Town’s patron saint San Ciriaco, whose saint’s day on 8 August will mark the climax of a heady mix of history, identity and fun… all right by the sea. This day has been held in honour of the patron saint since 1650 and is now a symbol of identity among the people of Ibiza.

During the festivities, residents and visitors immerse themselves into a programme packed full with activities, concerts, art and local culture, which will come to a head with one of Ibiza Town’s most eagerly awaited events: a fireworks display that will light up the bay and Dalt Vila on the evening of 8 August. And there’s no better place to enjoy it than from Marina Ibiza.

With its strategic location opposite the old town, Marina Ibiza is the perfect setting to experience this magical day. From the morning on, the lively atmosphere is an invitation to sail along the coast, explore the boutiques at the marina, or enjoy a culinary treat at eateries such as Filin, Cappuccino or Calma.

And when night falls, the most exclusive venues at the marina will roll out the red carpet to celebrate San Ciriaco in style. Roto, with its truly unique energy, reinvented Mediterranean cuisine and ever-vibrant atmosphere, will be one of the most popular places to soak up the Ibizan nightlife with unbeatable views.

And, of course, there’s also Lío Ibiza.

The feast of San Ciriaco isn’t just a religious commemoration. It’s an opportunity to reconnect with the essence of Ibiza, celebrate its history and share it with visitors. Right in the middle of summer, when the island is bursting with life, this event offers an authentic take on the soul of the White Island.

Marina Ibiza is once again at the heart of the celebrations, inviting all its visitors to experience 8 August for what it is: a date to remember in the perfect place to do so.
