Marina Ibiza is proud to celebrate the extraordinary performance of the Club Náutico Ibiza sailors at the recent Finn European Championship, held in Cannes.
The three Ibizan representatives, sponsored by Marina Ibiza, showed great competitive spirit and managed to rank among the best in the world in this class.
A single-handed dinghy, the Finn was synonymous with Olympic sailing excellence from Helsinki 1952 right through to Tokyo 2020. Its physical and technical demands make it one of the most respected classes in the sailing world.
Adrián Bedoya was the star of the Ibizan delegation, finishing in a highly admirable 39th position. His consistency and ability to sail in tricky conditions made him stand out among the 152 participants from 21 countries.
The other two Ibizans, Alejandro Cardona and Jordi Tur, also performed very well and notched up some excellent results. Both managed to qualify for the final series in the gold group, in 55th and 68th places respectively, showcasing their great potential.
This championship was a reflection of the high level of Spanish sailing today and, in particular, of Ibizan sailors.
Marina Ibiza would like to congratulate the three sailors for their hard work and dedication, and underlines its commitment to promoting sport and sailing in the Balearic Islands.
