Blue Flag flies high once again at Marina Ibiza
Marina Ibiza has once again been awarded the Blue Flag, one of the world’s most recognised certificates in terms of quality and environmental management
The marina has also received the ‘Calculate and Reduce’ seal as part of the Carbon Footprint Register of Spain’s Ministry for Ecological Transition
For the fifteenth year running, Marina Ibiza has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag certificate from the Spanish branch of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) to recognise the quality of its facilities, the high standards of its services and its commitment to environmental protection.
This accolade highlights the marina’s ongoing efforts to foster responsible and sustainable management, alongside a programme of environmental actions focused on safeguarding the Mediterranean. These include projects related to the protection of Posidonia seagrass meadows, the regeneration of marine ecosystems and the promotion of good environmental practices among users and visitors.
The renewal of the Blue Flag comes alongside the marina’s attainment of the ‘Calculate and Reduce’ seal as part of the Carbon Footprint Register of Spain’s Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge. This distinction acknowledges the organisation’s successful measurement and reduction of carbon emissions, underlining Marina Ibiza’s passionate commitment to continuous improvement and sustainable practices.
Together, these distinctions reflect a well-established environmental strategy embedded in the marina’s everyday operations, translating into tangible actions aimed at minimising the impact of its activities, protecting the surrounding environment and promoting ever more responsible yachting practices.
