Marina Ibiza, the perfect vantage point for Ibiza’s biggest night
Ibiza Town is gearing up for the highlight of the Festes de la Terra festival this week, as Santa María and San Ciriaco take centre stage at one of the island’s most eagerly awaited summer events.
Thanks to its prime location across from Dalt Vila, Marina Ibiza will once again be one of the best places to admire the traditional fireworks display on 8 August.
Ibiza is busy preparing for one of the most iconic days of the Festes de la Terra, a celebration deeply woven into the island’s history and identity.
This week’s programme brings together some of the festival’s best-loved traditions, including the Feast of Santa María, Ibiza’s patron saint, on 5 August, the traditional civic ceremony at which the Ibiza Town Gold Medal is awarded and – as the grand finale – the Feast of San Ciriaco on 8 August, culminating in the eagerly anticipated fireworks display over the harbour, followed by the traditional Berenada, a communal open-air supper, at Puig des Molins.
And as the celebrations unfold, Marina Ibiza’s prime waterfront setting provides the perfect vantage point to experience one of the island’s most unforgettable nights.
With uninterrupted views across to Dalt Vila, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Marina Ibiza enjoys a front-row view of the traditional fireworks display, a defining moment of the celebrations.
Throughout the day, visitors are invited to soak up the atmosphere, stroll along the waterfront and discover Marina Ibiza’s outstanding dining options.
Among them are Filin, Cappuccino and Calma, all ideal for savouring excellent cuisine and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere that fills the harbour during one of the summer’s most eagerly awaited parties.
As midnight approaches, ROTO and Lío Ibiza will once again be prime viewing spots for the traditional fireworks display, bringing together residents, tourists and the yachting community to mark the grand finale of the Festes de la Terra.
Little wonder, then, that the Feast of San Ciriaco is one of the island’s most cherished celebrations, blending tradition, culture and a spectacular fireworks show that transforms Ibiza’s harbour into the heart of the festivities every summer.
