Marina Ibiza and Club Náutico Ibiza nurture social inclusion from the sea
The “A Sea of Possibilities” programme hosts open days at the Club Náutico de Ibiza facilities on Talamanca Beach
With the key support of Marina Ibiza as the chief promoter and partner
The social programme “A Sea of Possibilities”, which has the support of Marina Ibiza and Club Náutico de Ibiza, has again opened its doors to show how the sea can be a space for integration, self-development and new life opportunities.
On 21 August, the first open day was held with users of the Occupational Workshops of the Cas Serres Residential Centre, who enjoyed a range of water activities tailored to their needs.
The next open day will be on 29 August with the residents of the Reina Sofía Centre, who will also be able to experience the sea from an inclusive and life-changing viewpoint.
Both open days take place at the Club Náutico Ibiza facilities on Talamanca Beach, right next to the Bellamar restaurant. On 29 August, the event will start with speeches and interviews between 9.00 am and 10.30 am, which will be followed by the adapted water activities.
For many years now, “A Sea of Possibilities” has been working with people with functional diversity, with groups at risk of exclusion and with social care associations, establishing itself as a truly unique project in Ibiza’s sailing and social care worlds. More than one hundred activities have taken place this season, thanks to the passionate commitment of volunteers, institutions and sponsors.
Marina Ibiza, the first and chief promoter of the programme, has been key in guaranteeing the continuity of this initiative, which is also sponsored by the Abel Matutes Foundation, the La Caixa Foundation and Valoriza M.A.
The event on 29 August is a chance for the media, sponsors and Ibizan society to meet up together, learn more about this project and soak up the energy of everyone behind it.
