Marina to sponsor the project in its 2025 season
On Friday 9 May, Marina Ibiza attended the presentation of the 2025 season of Un Mar de Posibilidades [A Sea of Possibilities], a non-profit association that has been developing therapeutic, educational and inclusive programmes at sea for more than two decades, promoting access to the Mediterranean for people with functional diversity, vulnerable groups, and young people at risk of exclusion.
The event took place at the Can Ventosa Library and brought together institutions, partners and entities belonging to the project, all enjoying an atmosphere full of excitement and enthusiasm for everything that is to come.
This year, Marina Ibiza is the official sponsor of the programme, with significant financial support that will allow the NGO to continue offering life-changing experiences to those who need it most.
With this action, the marina has further underlined its commitment to social responsibility, working with projects that generate a positive and long-lasting impact on the local community.
Un Mar de Posibilidades was created in 2004 in Ibiza with the aim of taking advantage of the marine environment as a therapeutic and educational space ideal for social inclusion. Its team is made up of professionals from the fields of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, social education, adapted sport, and diving.
Throughout the year, the association runs different assisted programmes on boats, adapted water activities, therapeutic diving sessions, marine environmental education programmes, and training in social and work skills. All these actions are aimed at people with physical, mental or sensory disabilities, senior citizens, young people at risk of exclusion, migrants, and other vulnerable groups.
Every season, Un Mar de Posibilidades serves over 350 participants, with the expectation of surpassing this number this year, thanks to a network of partners and volunteers who make its work possible with a vision focused on well-being, personal autonomy and social integration.
During the event, the team of Un Mar de Posibilidades gave Marina Ibiza a figure with fossilised pieces, a symbolic detail full of meaning, as a thank you for its involvement and unconditional support.
