Each year, Marina Ibiza’s safety plan includes employee training courses in safety and the environment, which are of vital importance at a marina of this size and with so much traffic. The main objective of these courses to give staff the knowledge to be able to deal with any emergency situation, such as a fire, an oil spill, etc.

The training days for the Marina Ibiza’s team consist of carrying out theoretical-practical courses, where they develop a succession of cases and emergency exercises. During the practical sessions, a fire drill usually takes place on a yacht that has just filled up at the marina’s fuel station, where the appropriate resources are deployed, such as anti-contamination barriers. Likewise, there are various exercises involving man overboard situations, rescues and evacuations, in collaboration with the Red Cross.
